This summer, brothers Henry and Bennett completed the Hillsboro City Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. For their hard work, they have received backpacks full of school supplies and new books!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a nationally recognized non-profit organization that promotes early literacy skill development and parent-child bonding through reading in children ages birth to five. The program is simple: read 1,000 books with your child before they reach kindergarten and keep track of their progress.

To register your child for this program, visit hillsborotx.beanstack.org, or download the free Beanstack app. For more information, visit our website at hillsborotxlibrary.org or give us a call at 254-582-7385.
