Children Complete Library's 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program

Siblings Hannah, Silas, and Isaac have completed the Hillsboro City Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program.  For their hard work, they have each received a backpack with school supplies and a new book to start off their school journeys.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a nationally recognized non-profit organization that promotes early literacy skill development and parent-child bonding through reading in children ages birth to five. The program is simple: read 1,000 books with your child before they reach kindergarten and keep track of their progress.
