Family Place Grand Opening

The Hillsboro City Library is having a grand opening event for its Family Place Program on Tuesday, November 15 from 10AM to Noon, with remarks at 11AM. Family Place is an early childhood development program for public libraries that stresses the benefits of learning through play and parent education. Representatives from the National Family Place Libraries organization will be visiting the Hillsboro Library from New York to present the library with its Family Place Banner. This recognition was meant to occur in 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Hillsboro City Library is one of more than 500 Family Place Libraries nationwide.
