In February, REACH Across Hill County coalition members met at the Hillsboro City Library for a monthly coalition meeting that ended with the creation of the new Community Care Corner (C3), located in the back porch area of the library. C3 contains essentials like toothbrushes, shampoo, small blankets, sunscreen, and more, as well as information about local resources. All these things are available for free to those in need, no questions asked. Bags are provided so that users can maintain their privacy as they take what they need.

The Hillsboro City Library would like to thank REACH Across Hill County for sponsoring the Community Care Corner, as well as the representatives from community partners that showed up to help put the Community Care Corner together: Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network, Presbyterian Children’s Homes & Services, Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children, and REACH Recovery Communities. All these organizations work hard to provide the community with vital resources and services.

For more information about the Community Care Corner, call the library at 254-582-7385, visit hillsborotxlibrary.org, or visit in person at 118 South Waco Street. For more information about REACH Across Hill County, visit reachcouncil.org.
