The Friends of Hillsboro City Library are pleased to welcome retired educator and author Dr. Pamela Boehm for a book discussion and author luncheon to be held Thursday, May 8th at 12:00pm at Historic City Hall, 127 East Franklin Street, in downtown Hillsboro.
Dr. Boehm grew up in Hubbard and served as the president of Hill College before her retirement. Her book, Go Ahead…Pick Me Up! Put Me in your Backpack! is for those individuals who are on their journey of life and are not feeling fulfilled or satisfied with their current state. It’s for those who are searching for a quick fix to help move forward and feel better about their self. Finding ways to feel worthwhile and meaningful in life is one of the most important things you can ever do. Everyone deserves to be happy.
This easy-to-read book is based on looking at life as a journey and acquiring the right tools through life to help improve current state. Each chapter is based on current songs designed to spark the imagination and help individuals navigate life’s ups and downs with relevant and beneficial tools that are acquired on our journey. Each chapter contains applicable approaches and exercises to pick yourself up and get more out of life. Enjoy your trip!
Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at the library or online via PayPal. Deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, April 30th. No tickets will be sold at the door.
